- Capacitor
Discharge Studs are designed to be welded to thin gauge sheet
material using tip ignition according to the capacitors
discharge welding process.
- Standard material
for CFK CD Studs are: Low Carbon Copper Flashed Steel, Stainless
Steel.
- The stud flange
is designed according to EN ISO 13918.
- Studs made of
steel 4.8 are protected against corrosion by copper coating.
(Thickness : 3 to 5 µm)
- CFK Studs are
used to make electrical contact in automotive and industrial
applications.
- CFK Studs are
welded using the Capacitors Discharge process, which allows the
studs to be welded to thin base material with good strength.
